FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Mac King Honored by Girl Scouts of Southern Nevada
with Campfire Magic 2010 Limited Edition Patch
First 300 people to purchase tickets for the Mac King’s Campfire Magic Benefit Show to receive free patch
LAS VEGAS – July 14, 2010 – Mac King has been honored by the Girl Scouts of Southern Nevada with a special patch commemorating the Campfire Magic Benefit Show taking place on Saturday, July 24 at 5 p.m. The first 300 people to purchase tickets will receive a free Campfire Magic 2010 limited edition patch.
“When the Girl Scouts requested that a special Campfire Magic patch be given out at the event. I thought ‘Wow, my very own patch!’ It’s not every day that an entertainer is offered the opportunity to have a patch created with their name on it,” said King.
The Girl Scouts of Southern Nevada are offering the patch in part as a thank you to Mac King for donating his time and talents to help raise money for the organization’s camp program. Designed by book illustrator Bill King, the patch features Mac King and a Girl Scout roasting food over a campfire, a tribute to the original cover of the book, Mac King’s Campfire Magic, which was the inspiration for the benefit show.
The Mac King Campfire Magic Benefit Show will take place on Saturday, July 24, at 5 p.m. at Sheldon & Miriam Adelson Educational Campus. Tickets are $20 per person and can be purchased on-line at www.girlscoutsnv.org.
