as “Summer of the ’70s” Concert Festival Continues

LAS VEGAS, Nev. – July 19, 2010 -- Fremont Street Experience continues its “Summer of the ’70s” free concert celebration by welcoming Shine On The Pink Floyd Experience Tuesday, July 20 through Saturday, July 24 on the 3rd Street Stage. Shine On will present the “Dark Side of the Moon” in its entirety plus other greatest hits during their three nightly sets from 9 p.m.-midnight, each starting after the top-of-the-hour Viva Vision shows.
Selling out venue after venue, Shine On has quickly made a name for themselves as the top Pink Floyd tribute band on the West Coast. These seasoned musicians bring their high energy and years of performance experience to the stage, treating fans to outstanding vocals and soaring guitar solos complemented with textured synthesizer patterns. In addition to recreating the legendary “Dark Side of the Moon” concept album, Shine On covers hits from most of Pink Floyd’s recording career, spanning from the 1970s through the 1990s.
With more than 11 cast members, three touring cast members and six technical crew members, Shine On delivers the ultimate Pink Floyd experience for the most loyal fans. Pink Floyd’s original touring saxophonist, Scott Page, has also joined Shine On for special performances.
The music and culture from the decade of the 1970s is being featured in downtown Las Vegas this summer as Fremont Street Experience presents the “Summer of the ’70s” festival and free concert series. The 102-day promotion kicked off Memorial Day Weekend and runs through Labor Day Weekend. “Summer of the ’70s” is sponsored by Corona Extra, Corona Light, Cruzan Rum, Modelo especial, Sauza Tequila Hornitos and Stoli Vodka.
