Ultimate Elvis Weekend a Huge Success at Fremont Street Experience
Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist of Las Vegas Announced
LAS VEGAS, Nev. – July 25, 2010 – Elvis Presley Enterprises, Inc. (EPE), Las Vegas' famed Fremont Street Experience and the celebrated tribute artist production "Legends in Concert,” presented the Ultimate Elvis Weekend. On Friday, July 23 and Saturday, July 24 as part of the “Summer of the ’70s” celebration, Fremont Street Experience hosted the EPE-sanctioned preliminary round of the Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Contest which for the first time was held in Las Vegas
On Friday 23 competitors from across the country participated in the Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Contest while guest judges determined the ‘best representation of the Elvis legacy.’ On Saturday, after the field was narrowed to 10 a champion was crowned ‘King.” Justin Shandor from Las Vegas won $2,500 cash, a Graceland Getaway prize package and most importantly, qualifies to compete in the 2010 Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Contest in Memphis, Tenn., during Elvis Week held Aug. 10-16.
The Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Contest in Memphis is one of the highlights of Elvis Week, attracting more than 70,000 fans worldwide last year. The winner of the contest will be offered the opportunity to sign a performance contract with “Legends in Concert,” $20,000 cash, recognition by EPE as the Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist of 2010 and a selection of other valuable prizes.
Also during the Ultimate Elvis Weekend Viva Las Vegas Wedding Chapel held Midnight Mass where couples participated in a group wedding vow renewal ceremony presided over by “Elvis.” Additionally, fans had the chance to jump on stage and show the massive crowd their inner Elvis with a special Elvis Karaoke.

On Saturday, July 24, Justin Shandor from Las Vegas was named the Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist at Fremont Street Experience in Las Vegas and now qualifies to compete in the 2010 Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Contest in Memphis, Tenn., during Elvis Week held Aug. 10-16.
