Styx Tribute Band Performs Free July 13 – 17
LAS VEGAS, Nev. – July 12, 2010 - Fremont Street Experience presents “Summer of the ‘70s” welcomes Rockin’ the Paradise, a high-energy Styx tribute band. Performing free from Tuesday, July 13 to Saturday, July 17, fans will travel through time listening to hits like “Mr. Roboto,” “Lady,” “Babe,” and “Come Sail Away.” Rockin’ the Paradise will perform three sets nightly, at 9, 10 and 11 p.m., each starting after the top-of-the-hour Viva Vision shows.
Rockin’ the Paradise is a six-member group from New York City. Replicating the original band’s high-pitched harmonies, the East Coast natives have toured both nationally and internationally. Showing their range of talent, some members of the band have even performed on Broadway and MTV.
The band consists of Jim Vignato (lead vocals), Sean Minardi (drums/vocals), Chris Iazzetta (guitar/vocals), Reuvin Jenkins (guitar), John Pagliarulo (keys/vocals), and Paul Cruz (bass/vocals). In tribute to the rock heroes, Styx, come hear the guitar assault, solid rhythm, and flashy keyboards of Rockin’ the Paradise, live on Fremont Street Experience.
The music and culture from the decade of the 1970s is being featured downtown Las Vegas this summer as Fremont Street Experience presents the “Summer of the ’70s” festival and free concert series. The 102-day promotion kicked off Memorial Day Weekend and runs through Labor Day Weekend. “Summer of the ’70s” is sponsored by Corona Extra, Corona Light, Cruzan Rum, Modelo especial, Sauza Tequila Hornitos and Stoli Vodka.
